WRD: Composition and Communication

Welcome to the site for Composition and Communication in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies (WRD). In WRD 110 and WRD 111, students learn how to analyze different kinds of rhetorical situations, conduct research, create written and oral texts, and deliver content through a variety of media. WRD 112 provides all of the above in a single accelerated course. As of fall 2015, all sections of WRD 110, 111, and 112 use our homegrown textbook, the Town Branch Writing Collection edited by the Director of Composition Jim Ridolfo, and our student reader The Engaged Citizen. Any proceeds from either book go back directly to the department to support its mission.
