Ariadne Alexis Macquarie (she/they) is an MFA Candidate in Poetry and a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is originally from Western North Carolina, but has spent time living in both Southwest Virginia and Northern Arizona. Her creative and critical work explores the intersection of sexuality and religious iconography in poetic form from the 1950s to the modern era. Her debut poetry collection, Flame Azaleas, is forthcoming. She is the editor-in-chief of both New Limestone Review and On Gaia Literary Magazine, and is a staff reader for both Sundress Publications and the Best of the Net Anthology. Formerly, she was a Poetry editor for Roanoke Review.
