Mackenzie Koontz is a first-year PhD student in English with a concentration in Victorian Literature. She specifically enjoys studying women's literature and issues of the time within the works of George Eliot, Charles Dickens, and Charlotte Bronte. 

She is a dynamic and passionate teacher focused on the concept of transfer in her work. She currently teaches two sections of WRD-110.

Mackenzie also has experience with Writing Center work, graduate student mentorship, and professional writing.
