Study Abroad in Denmark, sponsored by the department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies (WRD), offers students a unique experience studying social media for a global context. Earning credit for WRD 210 (which fulfills UK's Humanities requirement), students will work with Twitter, Instagram, and digital mapping to create and learn about global media spaces. Students will use social media to study Copenhagen - its food, culture, music, and city planning in order to gain a more global perspective regarding social media usage and its various effects.
To offset some of the expense, WRD is proud to offer limited and competitive scholarships to students attending the program.
To apply for a study abroad scholarship, please send a one-two page letter to the department chair explaining why you want to study in Denmark.
The deadline for applications is March 30 of the year you are attending the program.
